Floating Restrictions and Guidelines

State law requires:

  • No glass. 
  • No styrofoam.
  • No hard liquor. Any alcohol you can purchase at walmart is permitted on the river in original container, not glass.
  • No ice chests over 48 quarts and must have latch or bungee.
  • Children 12 and under must always wear a life jacket.
  • Floaters age 13 and up must always have a life jacket within arms reach.
  • It is illegal to tie boats together.
  • No jumping or diving from bridges.
  • No littering — free trash bags are provided in the office.
  • No underage drinking.

Eagle bluff policy:

  • Liability waiver required before all activities
  • No children under 2 may float
  • All boats must be in by 6pm sunday and wednesday-friday, saturdays by 7pm.
  • No canoes or tubes on busy saturdays
  • No jumping or diving into the river from any point
